چکیده
AIM This study aims to investigate whether there is a relationship between attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and inflammation, using hematologic inflammatory parameters in large sample of children adolescents. METHOD retrospective comprises 347 adolescents with ADHD 6 17 years age who met the inclusion criteria as well 205 healthy control group. Serum such white blood cell (WBC), neutrophil, lymphocyte, platelet, monocyte, eosinophil basophil counts, mean platelet volume (MPV), distribution width (PDW) were recorded from complete count tests at time admission, while neutrophil lymphocyte ratio (NLR), (PLR), other ratios calculated based on these counts. RESULTS NLR, PLR, MPV, PDW, WBC counts significantly higher than In group, girls boys. CONCLUSIONS The results this support hypothesis that inflammation plays an important role complex pathophysiology ADHD. addition, our data confirm easily obtainable reliable hematological can be used when investigating etiology (Tab. 4, Ref. 44).
